Overview:
We are seeking a Business & Data Analyst for Corporate Credit Risk. This role supports business and credit users by translating business requirements into deliverables and contributing to group-wide projects from initialization to post-implementation.
Responsibilities:
As a Business Analyst:
- Provide support for Corporate Credit Risk-related projects and business-as-usual support.
- Work with data scientists to enhance and support applications using data analytics/Machine Learning.
- Translate business problems into analytics use cases and recommend digital solutions.
- Understand end-to-end credit systems and their integration with other systems.
- Define/collate business requirements, prepare functional requirements, and write user stories.
- Review business processes supported by credit systems to optimize efficiency.
- Plan test scenarios, perform pre-UAT checks, and coordinate UAT.
- Conduct training on new and existing system processes and functionality.
- Maintain business-related documentation and ensure updates are available on the Intranet.
- Perform data analysis, user interviews/surveys, maintain system configuration, prepare reports, and conduct live verification.
- Collaborate with technology support & delivery teams to ensure successful delivery of user requirements.
As a Data Analyst:
- Understand internal and external data relevant to projects.
- Identify, analyze, clean, and prepare data for processing.
- Obtain insights and prepare visualizations to present findings.
- Use data-driven insights to address business problems or innovate.
- Understand different types of data analytics and Machine Learning applications.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Banking, Commerce, or Information Systems-related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a business and data analyst with end-to-end delivery.
- Experience writing user stories or functional specifications.
- Knowledge of wholesale/corporate banking and credit risk.
- Excellent people management skills and ability to articulate business objectives.
- Ability to define and defend scope, escalate issues, and work in agile methodology.
- Experience with loans, trade, treasury, and markets products would be good to have.
- Familiarity with credit products, risk monitoring/control processes, and bank credit processing systems.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, JavaScript, and Python.
- Task-oriented with attention to detail and discipline to adhere to procedures and standards.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and job stress with a clear, analytical mind and creative problem-solving skills.
- Fast learner, independent worker, tenacious, and able to prioritize work quickly.
- Solution-oriented mindset.
