Senior Financial Planner & Analyst

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Modeling:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate the financial feasibility and internal rate of return (IRR) of the investment.
  • Incorporate factors such as project costs, tax incentives, financing options, energy production forecasts, and revenue streams.
  • Identify areas of optimisation to improve the IRR of investment

2. Risk Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential financial risks and uncertainties associated with investment
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate risks.

3. Market Research:

  • Stay updated on market trends, subsidies, incentive programs, regulatory changes, and industry developments.

4. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project financial performance, investment opportunities, and potential risks to stakeholders, including investors, management, and regulatory agencies.

5. Investment Analysis:

  • Evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Assess financial metrics such as IRR, net present value (NPV), payback period, and cash flow analysis.
  • Assess valuation of assets through performance of various valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis, etc
  • Evaluate or formulate business transaction structures

6. Financing:

  • Support in the sourcing and evaluation of external financial partners to ensure the competitive terms and rates.
  • Act as an interface between management and financial partners to review project economics, terms, and assess customer creditworthiness

7. Portfolio Management

  • Monitoring and reporting the performance of existing investments
  • Conduct variance analysis to assess the difference between estimated and actual financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Master's in a relevant field, CFA would be advantageous
  • Minimum 1 year experience in developing and managing financial models in renewable energy industry, specifically solar projects in APAC market.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in banking/finance sector; experience with client relationship management would be added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a start-up environment and mentality
