Responsibilities:
- Calculate slot and space requirements for effective capacity management.
- Optimize vessel stowage to maximize utilization, ensure optimal sailing conditions, and enhance productivity at loading and discharging ports.
- Achieve the maximum possible crane split requirements at each port of call.
- Ensure correct segregation and stowage of special cargo in compliance with the international IMDG Code and in-house regulations.
- Vessel stowage planning, berth creation, and berth amendments.
- Serve as an advisor to global terminals on stowage issues.
- Coordinate with Terminal Managers for early berth arrangements.
- Advise and instruct port agents.
- Support Trade, Sales, and Customer Service in all operational matters.
- Provide coastal schedules with recovery plans when vessels fall behind the proforma schedule.
- Monitor and ensure that the Master follows the advised speed based on the schedule.
- Manage daily operational requests, including COD and partner speed adjustments.
- Provide slots killed per Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo.
- Approve OOG, Dangerous Goods, and flexi-tank cargo.
- Estimate round voyage costs.
- Monitor bunker consumption of vessels, both in port and at sea.
- Track the number of cranes provided at each port by agents.
- Ensure all vessel reports are submitted in order.
- Manage and resolve operational matters promptly.
- Ensure local billing is accurate and claims are recovered accordingly.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies / Logistics & Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of working on Seacos/Macs3
- Experience in planning vessel with multiport loading.
- Working Knowledge of Excel / Pivot
- Experience in handling cargo planning
