About The Role
This is a 12-month contract role.
The Crux Contruction/Commissioning Engineer accountabilities during the Execute phase are focused on managing the performance of the EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation) contractor under the EPCI CONTRACT while ensuring project requirements are met.
Accountabilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Monitoring Contractors compliance with the EPCI Contract for areas of responsibility.
• Administering Contract and Managing Contractors compliance with the Hook-up and Comissioning Subcontract.
• Installation and Commissioning of Mechanical Equipment Packages
• Sailaway and Offshore HUC Readiness execution planning.
• Risk Management
• Management of Change
• Brownfield Scope and execution Planning
• Package / Area Procurement Management for a portfolio of Vendor Equipment Packages.
• Resolution of Technical Queries
• Assuring Contractors vendor packages meet Not Normally Manned Quality and Reliability Specification Requirements.
• Critical Path management for assigned packages
• Development of Owners Team Procedures and Workflows
• Audit of Contractor Plans, Procedures and Workflows
• Building the desired HSSE culture in the owner and contractor teams to achieve Goal Zero. Shaping a culture of safe behaviours and practices throughout the project phases
• Building an effective Not Normally Manned Quality Culture in the owner and contractor teams to achieve Right-First-Time delivery.
• Quality for Assigned Packages; Vendor Inspections/Factory Acceptance Testing.
• Quality Resolution of Multidiscipline NCRs/Audits
• Interface Management (Both Topsides to other scopes and intra-topsides within packages)
• Technical Integrity Verification and demonstration
• Fabrication Site Project Engineering and Contract Administration
• Site investigations and resolution of site-based issues.
• Site Query management.
• Team Building/Team Effectiveness Initiatives
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Capture project lessons learnt for the benefit of future projects.
• Assisting the Owners Team resolve issues that are multi-discipline in nature.
Competencies required
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2.5 years relevant experience
- Strong integrative leadership and communication skills; collaboration skills working with the multiple contractors (and sub-contractors).
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Exceptional skills in developing and implementing plans, procedures, workflows.
- Excellent collaboration and team working skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Mature behaviours appropriate and conducive to managing an EPCI Contractor in a lump sum environment.
- Willingness to work in both office and construction yard.
