About the Role
This is a 12-month contract role.
- Supervise the installation of Gas Turbines on the main deck of the off shore platform under construction at Admiralty yard.
- Ensure project requirements are met during installation of other Rotating equipment on the platform.
- Participate in generating installation checklists and procedures for start up and commissioning of the gas turbines and other rotating equipment.
Competencies required
- Technical - Theory, working and operation of rotating equipment, general arrangement and cross sectional drawings, identification of parts
- Understanding of gas turbine operation and testing, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, fin coolers
- Root cause analysis of rotating equipment failures
- Vibration analysis of rotating equipment;
- Able to interpret the API and international standards
- Clear communicator
- Willing to put long hours
- Team person with a focus on job completion Problem solving
- Able to understand material and requisition online systems
What You Need
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering with 6-8 years of experience in oil and gas or chemical manufacturing industry
- Experience in rotating equipment installation, commissioning and monitoring is preferred
- Candidate must understand all terms related to Rotating equipment like Gas and steam turbines, compressors and pumps
- Must be able to read process flow diagrams, piping and instruments diagrams and provide guidance to the contractors
