Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure all deliverables and services under Client's project are to be performed according to contract specifications, approved execution plans/methodologies and contract KPIs within the project duration.
- Strong engagement and stakeholder management with Client’s personnel and stakeholders (including Client's programme participants, Project's sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers) to manage compliance to contract KPIs with Client and resolve any issues including complaints.
- Strong oversight of day-to-day marine operations with site upervisors for each client's site to support Client's activities.
- Ensure proper planning and allocation of resources such that there are adequately trained and qualified Service Crew and resources to support Client's activities.
- Drive the training of Service Crew and ensure quality assurance based on approved SOPs.
- Maintain oversight and work with maintenance team and sub-contractors to ensure 100% operation readiness of the sea vessels, kayaks, IRBs and equipment.
- Work with the Service Crew and the Client to review and propose improvement to work processes with regards to the performance of Services and introduce and recommend new technology to streamline processes.
- Conduct regular Monthly Management Meetings and regular and adhoc engagements through structured meetings, workgroups and project teams with Client and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform the role of secretariat for the Monthly Management Meetings with the Client, including preparation of each meeting’s agenda and related documents, as well as the minutes of meeting for dissemination and follow up.
- Prepare and update the Client’s Crisis Management Team to ensure continued performance of Services during both civil and national emergencies.
- Perform the role of the chairman for the monthly “Health, Safety and Environment Meeting” (HSEM) with Client for assigned project.
- Work with Finance to ensure payments of project milestones from Client and any purchase requisition to suppliers/sub-contractors are done timely.
Job Requirements:
- Possess minimum Degree / Diploma in Maritime, Operations Management or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in managing similar contracts and/ or marine operations.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing vendors/contractors.
- Display effective communication, good planning, foresight in forecasting and coordination.
- Competent in managing resources, manpower, process improvements, and shall have the knowledge and skills in preparing and generating reports and preparing and making presentations.
- Experience in managing maintenance team in handling and/or maintaining small pleasure craft (up to approximately 20m), as well as connections to its industry/community.
- Knowledge and experience in marine IC engines, electrical circuitry, seaborne systems, basic fluid and hydrodynamics, boats’ architecture and design, and maintenance level categorisation.
- Physically very fit, can swim and work on/with boats.
