Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to develop lighting design solutions for façade, interior, landscape, or other lighting technology applications.
- Present lighting designs, create calculations, sketches, cut sheets, renderings, shop drawings, and technical specifications to illustrate conceptual ideas.
- Source and manage manufacturers and suppliers, adapting lighting to as-built plans.
- Handle physical lighting products and evaluate their performance.
- Prepare budget and power consumption estimates.
- Present designs to clients.
- Manage projects, review suppliers' and contractors' proposed lighting products, fittings, and circuitry layouts.
- Participate in lighting design or related international competitions.
- Conduct site inspections to review quality and coordinate projects with relevant parties.
- Define and implement regular training objectives and programs (mainly on-the-job training).
- Utilize Photoshop, Lightroom, Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary projects to learn and grow, regardless of being artistic or engineering-focused.
- Outreach and secure projects, managing them from inception to completion.
- Be prepared for night work or weekend duties as necessary.
Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Lighting Design.
- Previous sales experience in the lighting industry is a bonus.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Dialux Evo/Dialux, and computer graphics rendering (lighting and building 3D models).
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously without supervision.
- Effective communication of design ideas, responsible, highly organized, flexible, and a supportive team player.
- Reliable, self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive, solution-oriented problem solver, adaptable to changes in priorities, structures, tasks, and goals.
- At least 3-6 years of experience in lighting design and project management.
