The Purchaser (Gourmet), for both local and international markets, is responsible for sourcing, evaluation and procurement of food supplies to ensure optimal cost-saving in purchases and business efficiency, as well as to ensure uninterrupted fulfilment to the Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue request for quotation to suppliers for new items
- Issue Purchase Orders to suppliers
- Process and verify invoices
- Source for appropriate samples and products with the best possible pricing and payment terms by manner of quotation from suppliers
- Be up to date with new and existing products and suppliers’ information which are relevant to the purchaser’s discipline or area of work
- Monitor and check the quality of stock upon arrival, Reject, if necessary
- Update inventory system upon new stock arrival
- Generate reports, as required
- Perform any other ah-hoc duties as required
Requirements
* Diploma Above
* At least three years of similar or related experience in food industry
* Familiar with purchasing process
* Experience in food industry will be advantageous
* Good knowledge of Gourmet Food is a plus
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in MS Office applications
