RESPONSIBILITIES
Collection and Handling
- Collect linen trolleys from the residences at least twice daily
- Wash residents’ clothing and linens such as draw sheets, bed sheets, pillow cases and patient care accessories (mittens, heel protector, etc.)
- Ensure optimization of each washing or drying cycle
- Use disinfectant or the assigned detergents for laundry which require special treatment to avoid contamination e.g. soaking and washing of infected clothing in the washing machine at the right temperature
Delivery and Mending of Clothing
- Distribute clean residents’ clothing, linens and accessories to the respective residences
- Mend clothes and linen which are torn
Maintenance
- Keep the laundry area clean, neat and dry at all times
- Take necessary steps in the control and usage of washing detergents, disinfectant and bleach
- Ensure that the laundry equipment function well and are in good working condition at all times
- Report any equipment malfunction or breakdown to reporting officer immediately
Others
- Performs any other duties as assigned by Senior Executive, Senior Manager or Head of Centre

- Minimum Primary School education

- Require heavy lifting
Working Conditions
- Able to work in a Nursing Home for the elderly and disadvantaged
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays
- 9:00AM – 5:00PM (6-day work week, include work on weekends and public holidays, no fixed rest day)
