QC Technician

Job Requirements:

1. Ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Chemical or Science discipline (fresh graduates from local polytechnics preferred).
2. Experience with analytical instruments such as ICP-MS, AAS, etc.
3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with good interpersonal abilities.
4. Basic understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001 standards is advantageous.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Reports directly to the Section Engineer or designated supervisor.
2. Conducts laboratory tests and measurements accurately following procedures, and maintains instruments and facilities in optimal condition.
3. Prepares standards and reagents for analysis according to procedures, ensuring proper documentation.
4. Performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments, documenting maintenance activities.
5. Manages ISO documentation and raw data for the QA Department.
6. Updates internal Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts accurately and monitors trends.
7. Assists in training staff on QC Section-related activities when needed.
8. Maintains and audits inventory of storage samples, ensuring accurate records.
9. Receives purchases for the QA department, verifying correctness of items and documentation upon receipt.
10. Assists in audit preparations as required.
11. Supports QA Section activities as directed.
12. Identifies near misses and suggests Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) improvements.
13. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and related areas through housekeeping.
14. Strictly adheres to EHS/QMS procedures and practices line discipline and 5S principles.
15. Undertakes any other tasks assigned by supervisors, engineers, QC section managers, or HOD.

Job Conditions:

1. Regular office hours, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
2. Uniform provided for work.
3. Capable of working in a cleanroom environment.
4. May involve overtime and night shifts as required.
