Job Responsibilities:
- Review and participate in site acceptance testing and commissioning activities to validate system performance in meeting the requirements
- Assist in handing and taking over facilities ready for user ops set up and leading to hospital open
- Assist manager in planning operation set up, develop processes and instructions manual, implement maintenance & support plans, configure change management for the sustenance systems and equipment delivered.
- Provide support to the hospital development team for the construction work undertaken by external consultants
- Oversee preventive & corrective maintenance scheduling & coordination work.
- Manage Maintenance Agent day-to-day work for Plumbing and Sanitary Systems, Town Gas Systems, DC Systems, Roller Shutters, Auto door Systems, Etc.
- Oversee the performance of the outsourced maintenance team (including safety practices and work conduct) and ensure good maintenance standards are maintained and planned schedules are met.
- Audit and monitor the performance standards of outsourced maintenance services by specialist vendors and service providers
- Oversee and coordinate improvement projects to the hospital services and facilities and upgrade systems and equipment components.
- Be the project manager for improvement works to existing hospital facilities such as renovation and retrofitting, replacement of system infrastructure, and improvement initiatives to existing specialized systems and hospital facilities
- Assist in providing advisory and support to the maintenance team including
- Prepare technical specifications and drawings for system improvements and draft cost estimates and work schedules for project execution
- Ensure prompt service recovery for any breakdown of equipment and systems to minimize disruption to hospital service operations
- Perform any other duties assigned by HOD.
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Those with more than 5 years of experience (or a diploma with at least 10 years of experience) will be considered for the Senior Engineer position
- Prior experience with design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical systems & equipment will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in the management of building services and facilities operation and improvement projects will be an advantage.
- Prior working experience in a healthcare setting will be an advantage.
- Able to organize, plan and manage facilities operation, and project management works.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
