Job Title: General Manager, Clinical Operations

Overview:

The General Manager, Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the dental practice. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with managerial skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with health regulations, and the effective operation of the clinic. The General Manager also plays a key role in strategic planning, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Oversight:
  • Supervise and manage all clinical staff, including dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants.
  • Ensure that all clinical procedures and treatments meet high standards of care and comply with current dental practices and regulations.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Monitor clinical performance and patient outcomes to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee infection control protocols and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Patient Care:
  • Oversee patient care processes to ensure a high standard of service and patient satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implement patient education programs to promote oral health.
  • Staff Development and Training:
  • Identify training needs and provide ongoing education and professional development opportunities for clinical staff.
  • Mentor and support staff to enhance their clinical skills and professional growth.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strategic Planning and Development:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the clinic.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding services and improving clinic operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate clinical services with overall business objectives.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Manage clinical documentation and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of patient records.
  • Oversee the procurement and maintenance of clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including insurance companies and regulatory bodies.
  • Financial Management:
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for clinical services.
  • Monitor clinical expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources without compromising the quality of care.
  • Technology and Innovation:
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and treatment methods.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and innovations to enhance clinical services.
  • Promote the adoption of digital tools and systems to improve efficiency and patient care.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must have dental degree

Relevant experience will be an advantage
