Project Manager System Analyst

As a Project Manager / System Analyst, you collect local business needs, you coordinate people and processes to deliver project(s) on time, within budget, with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives, ensuring they meet operational needs and strategic goals. You also act as a point of liaison between the project team and local users. You plan, monitor and regularly report to stakeholders on the progress of the project. You ensure level 1 / level 2 support on SCOR global applications used locally in APAC (specially hELIOS Life & Health seriatim data administration system) and work closely with global teams to support local users.


The Tech & Data department (~200 employees across the globe) provides products, services, and support to all SCOR Group worldwide. Its 2 key challenges today are to successfully implement its new Target Operating Model (TOM), to be supported by an ambitious pluri-annual internalization plan to deliver innovative products and services to its clients.


The Tech & Data organization is an Agile matrixial organization relying on 4 pillars:

  • Data and System Engineering, made of the following teams: Data Center of Excellence, Products and Systems Engineering and Enterprise Architecture
  • Management & Control (M&C) & Corporate Systems, made of teams supporting Crews and Transversal Functional Domains: Governance, T&D Operating Model Implementation, Security & Compliance, Financial Control, Sourcing & Vendor Management, Governance, and Processes
  • Technical, made of teams dedicated to IT Operations, Network, Cloud, Workplace & Cloud Productivity Services
  • Crews and Transversal Functional Domains

Crews are supported by Chapters (System Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, …) and both Technical and M&C-C teams are fully dedicated to the delivery of SCOR products, services and support.



Under the operational responsibility of the APAC CIO, the primary responsibilities of the Project Manager / System Analyst are to design, test and ship software and systems, in the respect of existing policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products and services. Right from prototyping and designing functional code and testing, you take ownership of the software until it is handed over to the end users. Ensure level 1/ level 2 local support to maintain a high level of IT system Quality of service on SCOR global applications used locally in APAC.


Key duties and responsibilities

  • Support discussions with APAC stakeholders to understand business needs and user requirements, across various departments.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure deliveries matching the requirements.
  • Adopt Agile delivery methodologies to speed up user feedback cycles and E2E delivery timelines.
  • Provide regular and effective progress updates to ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues.
  • Support requirements analysis and formulate specifications for impacted systems.
  • Contribute to the design and testing of automated and digitalized processes.
  • Participate in the evaluation and testing of hardware and software platforms.
  • Identify ways to improve performance and robustness.
  • Write documentation for internal and external users.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems (functional / performance related)
  • Participate in reviews and meetings and provide updates on project progress.
  • Work closely with relevant teams internally to ensure alignment and coordination across operations as part of the seamless implementation of RPA processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technologies with the vendors (discovery sessions, regular updates, …)
  • Ensure the support Level 1& 2 for APAC users on group applications, especially during APAC morning hours (when Paris team is still off)
  • Handle and follow up APAC issues raised in ServiceNow ticketing tool and ensure that all needed information’s are completed to allow development teams to analyze & investigate the issues to streamline the resolution.
  • Follow up APAC problem solving by being the relay with development global teams.
  • Report on his/her activities to IT Management on a regular basis and point out potential risks / raise potential alerts.

Required experience & competencies

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project manager and business analyst.
  • Master degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects and system analysis in a structured environment.
  • Understand/exposed to a variety of software development approaches and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
  • Experience in both architecture and implementation-level software design.
  • Good academic track record in relevant fields (Computing, process-engineering or engineering) – or equivalent courses that exhibits training in logical and process-oriented thinking.
  • Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges.
  • A desire to remain technically capable and an expert in current technologies.
  • Ability to work in a team and/or be an effective individual contributor and collaborate effectively with other departments.
  • Relevant certification or training would be a plus.
  • Multi-tasking: ability to multi-task, working on more than one issue simultaneously.
  • Autonomy: be able to carry out tasks in autonomy, used to working in a cross-cultural environment (EMEA, Americas, APAC)
  • Work in close relationship with the IT technical teams.
  • Fluent English skills (oral & written)

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge and good understanding of IT processes, and willingness to constantly update knowledge.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of Business Process Digitalization is a plus.
  • Exhibit good knowledge of Microsoft O365 (especially on Microsoft Azure DevOps) and other digital applications.
  • Functional architecture skills are a plus.
