Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Carry out examinations, maintenance, and servicing on diverse material handling machinery at client locations.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of technical equipment.
- Install, configure, and test new equipment.
- Perform customer assessments following task completion, document observations, and suggest safety-oriented corrective measures.
- Compile and promptly submit accurate service documentation.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of company assets and vehicles.
- Comply with safety protocols and promptly report identified hazards.
- Execute PM scheduling and Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work activities.
- Evaluate continuous improvement for preventive maintenance programs
- Attend troubleshooting of system abnormalities and assist or lead system recovery.
- Supervise out-sourced contract service provider to performance work activities in accordance to defined scope of work and system requirement.
- Maintain equipment and system maintenance record for work history traceability.
- Track and monitor equipment spare parts and consumable inventory.
- Site supervision for installation of new capital equipment and/or system expansion project at critical milestone during construction phase
- Provides support for start up testing and commissioning of new equipment and system.
- Enforce to company’s environmental safety health policy and procedure, standard operating procedure with risk assessment, good housekeeping standard and quality policy when performing work.
- Troubleshoot & repair electrical works to ensure functionality, including but not limited to air-conditioning, refrigeration and plumbing.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work.
- Diagnosing potential maintenance issues and highlighting to the reporting manager proactively.
- Liaise internally and externally with contractors, service providers and statutory authorities when necessary.
- Respond to emergency calls on critical services and be on standby during off-duty hours, including going onsite for emergency matters.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manage
Requirements:
- Minmum in Diploma Electrical Engineering
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in a technical field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the similar industry
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- With technical knowledge of material handling, construction or related.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to perform shift work
