The candidate will possess a strong design perspective and good leadership skills to provide design direction for architectural projects from concept through completion.
Job scope includes and is not exclusive to meeting with clients to discuss a project’s requirements and their brief and budget, creating layouts that reflect the brief, and ensuring that they comply with the latest authority regulations.
The candidate should have the creativity and personal drive to seek to find creative methods to design both exterior and interior layouts for residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. The technical skill to utilize AutoCAD, and the communication skills to interface with clients and colleagues alike. Experience in Interior architectural space planning is critical.
The ideal candidate is highly organized and able to manage multiple projects in a collaborative team setting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Good knowledge of interior details, working drawings, and construction practices.
- Flair in design; able to sketch fast and produce good design concepts.
- Good understanding of materials cost and application.
- Work closely with the project manager, design coordinators, and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production.
- Responsible for project deliverables, meeting overall project design schedules.
- Result-oriented and passionate to deliver projects successfully.
- Able to work independently with a high degree of integrity.
- Value support and cultivate cooperation among colleagues.
- Work closely with the team and Design Lead to develop, coordinate, and implement the interior design of projects from concept design to documentation and construction.
- Communicate with clients and compile the necessary information to perform drawings and layout. (This includes and is not exclusive to doing PowerPoint presentations of relevant mood boards, sample boards, mood images, and hand sketches to present to the client).
- Creating 3D perspectives (SKP), to help clients visualise and present to them the design concepts.
- Passionate about interior design and layout of furniture and space planning for interiors.
- Coordination work for a project.
Job Competency (Qualification, Experience & Knowledge)
- A recognized Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a local or foreign university.
- Min 3 years of local working experience for residential/ hospitality/ commercial projects.
- Provision with CAD/Photoshop/Sketch-up/Microsoft Office.
- Preferable commercial & hospitality design experience.
- Independent, self-motivated, eager to progress analytical, and a team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation, communication & interpersonal skills.
- Conversant with local codes and regulations.
- Good communication skills and is bilingual in both English and Mandarin to liase with Mandarin speaking stakeholders
