RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach and conduct coding, STEM and technology-related projects for Pre-School & Primary School students.
- Oversee curriculum delivery: Ensure that teaching staff deliver the curriculum effectively and efficiently. Monitor the quality of teaching and learning and provide feedback and support as needed.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies: Work with teaching staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Take up teaching duties if the need arises: Take up teaching duties when needed, including covering regular classes, holidays, and special programs.
- Ensure that the teaching staff deliver lessons that are engaging and meet the expectations of students and parents.
- Design, prepare and deliver lessons to teach the basic knowledge, and techniques, support and enhance learners’ understanding of Coding, STEM and technology.
- Oversee and conduct training for AI, coding, and robotics-related competitions.
- Review and improve on current content/curriculum with our internal or external partners.
- Stay up to date with education trends and best practices. Keep abreast of new research and innovations in teaching and learning.
- Develop close relationships with students and parents to understand their needs and ensure that the team delivers lessons that are up to expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to teaching and learning across Titan Tech Academy.
- Complete all duties assigned by the management team in a timely and professional manner.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably a Diploma in an Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Science related field and above.
- Good programming background with a positive learning attitude.
- Experience with working with young children will be a plus.
- Should be proficient in using Scratch and Python in teaching and curriculum research.
- Should be proficient in using Scratch Interactive Programming and Python Series Programming for courseware compilation.
- Preferably some working experience in teaching or as an instructor, with a focus on AI or Coding, Robotics.
- Have a pleasant, positive, and optimistic personality. You believe in doing things well in a personal and professional capacity.
- Work well in a small team setting or individually.
- Have high self-standard and like to think of ways to improve things.
- Knowledge of current STEM education trends and best practices would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Required to work on work on weekends.
