Responsibilities:
- Production of the design of all mechanical systems and determining the associated construction budget cost during the programming and conceptual design phases, for large/complex projects;
- Determining and defining sustainability targets;
- Review of the design of mechanical systems, produced by other team members, for technical compliance with specified and contracted client/customer requirements;
- Review of all mechanical tender documentation;
- Implementing the design checklist and tracking progress;
- Arranging internal design reviews with the support of the HOD;
- Representing the Mechanical Team in monthly Client Meetings;
- Compiling lessons learned and briefing HOD on same;
- Formulating any necessary recovery plans relating to Design; Cost; Schedule
- Mentoring of the Senior Engineers or Engineer with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years experience in a Senior Mechanical Engineer position
- 5 years of experience in large-scale projects.
- Remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and remain technically current
