Your new company
My client is a global leader in the construction industry, with a diverse portfolio that includes building construction, civil engineering, real estate development, and more. With a strong presence both domestically and overseas, they are shaping the future through regional and urban development, ocean development, environmental improvement, and other construction-related businesses.
Your new role
Assist the QAQC Manager in specific areas pertaining to quality standards applicable at working site.
The QAQC Representative is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Planning & Execution:
- Formulate and endorse a testing and commissioning timeline with suppliers and present it to the client/commissioning group for consent.
- Craft the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) following the CEP timetable.
- Manage, evaluate, and/or sanction documentation for client endorsement.
- Collaborate with leadership and technical staff to facilitate and synchronise inspection and testing procedures.
- Accumulate and secure pertinent material certifications and testing outcomes from vendors.
- Engage with stakeholders such as QPS (client-appointed oversight team), vendors, and test labs for material assessments and observation.
- Initiate Inspection Requests (IR) for all pertinent test and inspection tasks, encompassing concrete trial mix designs, prototype evaluations, and approval of novel materials.
Quality:
- Administer and oversee labelling processes at various stages.
- Partner with external labs for material testing.
- Arrange and lead transition inspections with clients and consulting teams.
- Aid the Manager in compiling transition documents and managing the transition process.
- Maintain up-to-date records of site inspections, QAQC documentation, and T&C activities.
- Offer guidance and assistance to the Project Director or Manager in the creation, execution, review, and modification of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and its annexes.
- Handle all quality-related aspects, including certifications, audits, calibrations, test outcomes, inspection requests, material submissions, non-conformity reports, site directives/observations, delivery of permanent materials, and other vital QA/QC paperwork.
- Work with other leaders and engineers to execute and harmonize the PQP and its annexes.
- Conduct quality monitoring at the site and issue a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) or Quality Observation as needed for onsite quality discrepancies. Review any NCRs and forward the analysis to the Quality Manager for evaluation before distribution to the concerned entities.
- Take charge of quality inspections, material confirmation, and quality record-keeping.
- Encourage a culture of quality mindfulness amongst project staff.
Safety:
- Ensure adherence to safety and occupational health protocols within the QAQC Division.
- Implement site-specific safety regulations in line with Integrated Management System (IMS) safe practices.
- Attend daily site coordination meetings diligently.
- Assist in all CONQUAS and QM assessments.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proficient understanding of IMS International norms.
- Competent in quick problem analysis and devising effective solutions to resolve issues.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of quality control/ assurance experience in civil projects
