Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and upgrade middleware.
- Middleware administration for service request, change and reconfiguration.
- Involve in incident management with immediate troubleshooting, action and resolution.
- Plan, broadcast and apply middleware security patch and hardening.
- Attend to audits and regulatory compliance matters.
- Participate in data center shutdown and business disaster recovery activity.
- Maintain middleware inventory and keep track on the updated and outdated middleware (including runtime) versions.
- Improvise the existing middleware team process and procedures.
- Join in various meetings that requires the middleware team involvement.
- Assess on new middleware that will be on boarded into the team support.
- Guide and provide Level 2 middleware support.
- Write and update documentations related to middleware administration.
- Communicate to the stakeholders on the recommendation to ensure middleware will run better and without critical problems in future.
- Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
- Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
- Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices

The Person:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related IT qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in system/middleware administration, infrastructure operations with exposure to security compliance with any middleware stated below.
- Oracle WebLogic Server with Oracle Java
- Oracle HTTP Server with Oracle Java
- IBM WebSphere Application Server with IBM Java (J9)
- IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty with IBM Java (J9)
- IBM HTTP Server with IBM Java (J9)
- RedHat JBoss Enterprise Application Server with RedHat OpenJDK
- RedHat JBoss HTTP Server with RedHat OpenJDK
- Microsoft Internet Information Services with .NET Framework
- Oracle eBusiness Suite with Oracle Java
- Knowledge in any of the following operating system that having middleware running in it.
- Oracle Solaris
- RedHat Enterprise Linux
- Microsoft Windows Server
- IBM AIX
- Advantage if you have any of the following certification
- Middleware stated above
- Project Management
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Research, analytical and problem solving skills
- Good collaboration and teamwork
- Security compliance and automation mindset
- High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
- Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
