The Operational Technology (OT) Security Specialist key role is to improve the security capabilities of Yinson’s OT infrastructure.
The OT Security Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect OT systems from cyber threats and ensure the continuity and reliability of these essential services.
He/she will assist the Information Security Manager (ISM) on IT/OT Security within the Group, globally, focusing on IT/OT Security. He/She is to work collaboratively with the various technical team(s) to execute Group IT/OT strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Support Project Initiatives by assisting in system design
- Responsible for supporting OT cybersecurity measures.
- Assist with scoping, development and management of Yinson OT projects.
- Provide cybersecurity advice and oversight and input into selected Yinson OT implementation projects.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Yinson OT security strategies tailored to the specific needs of green technology.
Improve cybersecurity posture.
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of the asset (OT hardware and software).
- Analyze IT and OT networks for opportunities to improve integration, network architecture and security.
- Be point of contact for cybersecurity events/incidents, in collaboration with relevant resources and 3rd party suppliers.
- Govern user access control, to restrict unauthorized access to critical OT systems and data.
- If required, provide support to IT related cybersecurity matters and work alongside ISM.
- Occasional travel to overseas offices or sites for assessments.
Establish Compliance and Governance for cybersecurity
- To maintain and improve current cybersecurity policies, procedures and cybersecurity posture, based on relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct vulnerability risk assessment to analyze the risks to Yinson OT environment and recommend appropriate measures to manage these risks effectively in a timely manner.
- Assist respective Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in creating relevant respond and recovery plans for any cybersecurity events.
- Develop educational materials to promote a cybersecurity conscious culture within the organization and raise awareness to OT security best practices.
- QHSSE Duties – every employee shall:
- Take care of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or oversights;
- Not interfere with or misuse anything supplied for their health, safety and welfare;
- Report quality related problems and HSSE hazards or deficits within their area to the QHSSE department;
- Promote and take part in the QHSSE continuous improvement process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience on IT/OT environment with cyber security knowledge.
- Proficiency in security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Sound understanding of relevant cybersecurity framework, concepts, and security tool(s) that can improve the posture of our OT Security rapidly.
- Able to communicate effectively within immediate department, respective departments and Business Units SME and vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
