Compliance Lead, Singapore

Remit: Singapore (SEA longer term)
Location: Singapore
As the Head of Compliance, you will ensure the platform operates within regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive compliance strategies in Singapore to manage regulatory risk effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to laws, rules, and regulations.
- Identify and manage regulatory risks with business units.
- Provide guidance on risks in business decisions.
- Strengthen and communicate compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain and update knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures.
- Oversee compliance testing, assurance, and reporting.
- Manage KYC, onboarding, AML, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
- Handle licensing applications and regulatory approvals.
- Address control weaknesses and design new controls.
- Conduct and manage regulatory training for employees.
- Manage regulatory requests and inform senior management of significant compliance matters.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience, with at least 6 years in compliance within the financial industry (banking, payments, insurance, MAS, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and requirements in Singapore.
- Strong understanding of compliance controls, risk management principles, and internal audit processes.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
Compensation:
- Annual salary of $96,000 - $120,000
- Competitive bonus
