We are looking for a skilled and resourceful Business Analyst to join our APAC team. In this role, you will report to the Financial Controller for the APAC region and collaborate closely with finance colleagues across our primary locations: Singapore, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Australia. You will also work with our Sales Planning and cross-functional teams. The position entails a 70% focus on finance responsibilities and a 30% focus on sales planning.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Engage in and prepare in-depth analyses to provide the cross-functional teams with clear insights and recommendations into the business, financials, risks and opportunities.
- Support critical financial processes such as pricing/margin analyses, cost monitoring, balance sheet review, business forecasting and budget planning.
- Support closing process including but not limited to booking accounting entries, assisting finance teams with special cases and communications with HQ.
- Work closely with Sales Planning team to further improve forecasting process and accuracy, e.g. monthly sales planning updates, budget preparation etc.
- Support ad hoc projects in APAC region.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (majors in Business, Economics/Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics);
- 1-2 years of relevant experience;
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint Skills;
- Resourceful, collaborative, independent, versatile and able to multi-task;
- Ability to create and manage cross-functional relationships;
- Effective communicator.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to take initiatives and work with ambiguity in an unstructured environment;
- Good problem-solving skills;
- Familiarity with SAP and Tagetik;
- Experience with dashboard development or other analytics tools to reduce manual work.
