QA and QC Director

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strengthen capabilities in customer quality communication and engagement.

  • Respond to Customer Scorecards: Manage plans to improve customer satisfaction and relationships.
  • Survey Management: oversee regular surveys to gauge customer satisfaction.
  • Voice of Customers: Derive and own the customer’s voice to enhance Quality and QA systems, drive improvement projects within the company and with suppliers.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to meet customer quality expectations and foster positive customer relationships.
  • Communication Consistency: Ensure consistent communication of strategic directions across cooperative teams within the company.
  • Global Alignment: Coordinate with Global Fujifilm Electronic Materials entities on quality management activities for commonly engaged customers.
  • Cooperative relationships: Improve relationships with other teams for new business implementations.
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer satisfaction issues involving inter-departments.
  • Corrective Action Management: Lead the team in completing corrective action reports for customer complaints and providing updates to customer.
  • New analytical measurement method: Build department members capability in introducing new analytical measurement methods to meet customer’s request or to support suppliers.
  • QA and QC team Management: Lead the team in conducting customer audits at customer or supplier sites, either physically or remotely. Ensure tight coordination between QA and QC teams and other departments to facilitate rapid action to customer requests.


2. Drive Supplier Quality Performance and Improvement

  • Supplier Quality Systems: Develop new supplier quality systems and process improvements to prevent issues and deviations and align supplier capabilities with market requirements.
  • QA and QC Team management: Lead the team in conducting audits, assessments, and monitoring supplier performance, focusing on the implementation and performance of supplier quality systems and scorecards.
  • Supplier Quality Assurance: Ensure suppliers meet customer quality expectations, programs, and projects.
  • Procurement Support: Assist in the development of new suppliers concerning product specifications, QC method and quality matters.


3. Drive Company Quality Performance and Quality Management System

  • Quality Management System: Establish and improve the quality management system in alignment with Global Fujifilm Electronic Materials entities.
  • Quality Management Process: Plan and establish the quality management process for new products.
  • KPI setting: Set annual KPIs for the department, review and evaluate the results for continuous improvements.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews, particularly focusing on KPIs related to the quality management system and improvements.
  • Stay Updated with Quality Management Practices: Keep up-to-date with the latest and most practical quality management procedures and tools. Ensure the results are effectively disseminated through training programs from a quality perspective.


4. Manage resources and ongoing QA and QC activities

  • Resource Management: Maintain and manage department in terms of investments, assets, expenses, and human resources.
  • Skill Development: Promote the development of individual skills in QA, QC and relevant subjects.
  • Education Leadership: Lead both repetitive and non-repetitive education programs to instill quality management principles within the company.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure activities comply with safety requirements and group guidelines.


Job Requirements, Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • B.S. in Chemical, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or any related technical field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercializing chemical products from scratch (i.e., planning and launching commercial-level manufacturing processes for chemical products).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in analysis work, including familiarity with various analysis methods and equipment.
  • Minimum of 5 years in planning and implementing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes for new products.
  • Over 3 years of independent supplier/ customer engagement and management (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance / quality control.

Skills

  • Proficient in SAP, ISO auditing and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • Experience working with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, and other quality systems and/or other legal and corporate requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and sound judgement in establishing critical guidelines, parameters and procedures with other functional departments.
  • Extensive knowledge in manufacturing process control, including control of formation and contamination from impurities, raw materials spec control, etc.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry, preferably with experience in a wafer fabrication environment.
