Duties and Responsibilities
Crane Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of RMG cranes. This role ensures that all cranes operate efficiently, safely, and comply with all regulatory standards. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure minimal downtime of crane operations.
Crane Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform scheduled maintenance on cranes, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical malfunctions in cranes and related equipment.
- Replace defective parts, wiring, and reassemble equipment using hand tools and power tools.
Inspection & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to crane failure.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair crane systems.
- Perform functional testing and ensure all safety protocols are followed during inspections and repairs.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure proper functioning of safety devices.
Technical Support:
- Assist in the installation and recommendation on crane issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to improve crane performance and reliability.

Requirements
1. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of cranes or similar heavy equipment.
3. Familiarity with PLCs and crane control systems.
4. Relevant certifications in crane maintenance and repair are desirable.
5. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
