With the current influx of request for quotes and tenders, we are in need of hiring another person to help out with the works.
1. The candidate shall be independent and resourceful in their works which will commence from start of tender all the way to closing of projects.
2. Explore your tasks and responsibilities
· Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
· Attend tender site show rounds
· Attend tender interviews
· Follows up on the pre and post-contract administration of projects assigned
· Reviews work specifications, take-off quantity, costing and liaise with contractors and suppliers
· Understands the contractual terms and works to ensure that other stakeholders such as Project Team Members, Accounts and Finance understands and complies with the terms
· Provides effective support to Project Team and establishing good working relationship with Project Managers, Clients, contractors and sub-contractors
· Assists in resolving contractual and commercial issues with clients, contractors and suppliers
· Co-ordinates the procurement of materials and suppliers for the projects and ensuring expenses within budget
· Assists to evaluate contractors and sub-contractors' bids and recommends awards for contracts as appropriate
· Monitors closely the project costs and puts up project cost reports on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis
· Ensures effective cost control of projects and that all purchases are within budgets
· Reporting progress to senior management
· Negotiates with vendors for cost reduction of purchases;
· Verifies all payments are in order before payments by Company;
· Monitors all payment collections;
· Take responsibility of projects from contract award through to closing of final account agreement
· Attends to all contract administration matters and maintains proper documentation of the project
· All other QS related job
3. This person shall have an opportunity to head his / her own team when the cell they work at expands.
4. Qualification
· At least 5-7 years’ experience in related field of work.
· At least a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering in construction industry or related field of study or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
· Strong time management and communication skills are essential to this role as well as computer literacy
· Ability to prepare reports and administer necessary paperwork.
· Very good knowledge of the SOPA.
· Be able to handle multiple jobs as well as tender at the same time.
· Have a good knowledge of sourcing and usage of materials as well as equipment
· Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
· Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
Our Working Hours are:
Monday to Friday: 0800 hrs to 1745 hrs

Salary: $4000.00 - $5,500.00 per month
