Job Description of Management Associate
The ideal candidate’s primary objective will be to assist Management in various corporate matters and projects with the ultimate objective of being able to take on the Manager’s role. Assistance may involve different business aspects such Human Resources, Accounting & Finance, Operations & Logistics, Procurement & Product Management, Sales & Marketing, etc. The core business of Group is to improve the Return on Investment for the portfolio of investees. As the investees are SMEs who need much assistance, there is a delicate balance between facilitation and involvement. The ideal candidate should be Service-Oriented yet Business savvy individuals who enjoy analysing business problems, have the ability and perseverance to identify and work with the investees, the right external people or offer assistance indirectly until problems are solved, Team Players who are achievers, with passion to learn, and acquire new abilities, helpful, creative, focused on results, and demonstrate courage to do challenging things right.
Roles and Responsibilities
- • Assist the Manager in identifying corporate challenges/problems and solutions needed to achieve effective outcomes.
- Act as an intermediary between the service providers and the needs of the Group’s investees.
- Planning, coordinating and minuting meetings to achieve deliverables & purpose and meet deadlines.
- Coordinating with departments such as Accounting, Human Resources, and Finance including Cashflow Management to ensure that all operational needs are met.
- Support and assist in improving processes, enhancing concepts, brainstorming ideas, and building models.
- Assist the management team in the development and implementation of Strategic Business Plans.
- Perform financial analysis of the Group’s investee portfolio and offer recommendations as appropriate.
- Conduct market study and competitor analysis of the Group’s investees.
- Conduct market research on specific industries to identify potential opportunities for investment and providing recommendations to Management.
- Assist and conduct Due Diligence, Financial Analysis and Valuations on potential M&A opportunities.
- Assist by way of coordination and facilitation.
- Identify and analyse HR needs of the Group on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in HR matters which may include recruitment, promotion & termination, employee performance evaluations, policies & procedures, etc.
- Assist in the enhancement of reports so as to be able to more effectively monitor the progress on projects and to measure performance against goals.
- Assist in information gathering and presentation of historical findings as necessary.
- Regularly present progress reports to Management.
Requirements
- Relevant Internship Experience preferred
- Degrees in Science, Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration/Management, Engineering are welcomed.
- Possess positive & humble attitude, empathy and eagerness to learn.
- Effective communicator who is able to interact effectively and build interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
- Independent self-starter who is open-minded and possesses excellent team spirit.

- Required language(s): English, Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients)
