Job Description
- Oversee the transport operations for the client with the management of Bus Captains & Buses for the delivery of bus services.
- Work closely with account managers to liaise with client’s representatives for the coordination of daily operations, fulfilment of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and development of operational enhancement initiatives.
- Submit monthly reports to client and management, and weekly reports for P&M Department.
- Perform monthly rostering of resources and ensure sufficient resources for the upcoming month.
- Work with the Ops Control Centre (OCC) to ensure that the daily scheduling of trips closely matches the monthly roster, and all trip and service requirements are fulfilled.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources as part of daily trip planning consideration for effective management of operating cost.
- Monitor daily performance of trips and measure fulfilment of KPIs including timeliness of bus arrivals/departures, headway, ridership, serviceability of buses and cleanliness of buses
- Conduct regular analysis of trip performance data to refine the schedule for further optimization of resources.
- Develop and maintain incident and crisis management plans for identified contingency scenarios to ensure that procedures are established and rehearsed regularly to prepare for these contingencies.
- Communicate, enforce and ensure adherence to company SOPs and Ops Instructions.
- Develop risk management plan and apply mitigation measures to ensure safe operations.
- Inculcate strong safety culture at the Site and ensure that BCs develop a strong sense of safety instincts with regular reminders and training on safe driving practices.
- Inculcate strong service-orientation amongst BCs to delivery of service excellence
- Manage Site leadership team comprising Deputy Site Leader, Bus Captain Supervisors and Bus Captain
- In-Charge to ensure effective management of Bus Captains including driving performance as well compliance to driving, safety and service standards.
- Manage the morale, attendance and discipline of Bus Captains
Requirement
- Prior experience in operations handling such as mobility sectors, will be advantage
- Take ownership of operations
- Good interpersonal and networking skill
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office to prepare reports
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
