Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop machines control systems, with motion controller, robot, PLCs, HMIs, and servo drives.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Program and configure control systems to meet specific project requirements.
- Source and select control components based on project specifications.
- Execute control system setup, including IO system configuration, servo and step drive setup, and axis tuning.
- Ensure the proper functioning and integration of control components.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of control systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate control systems into larger machinery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and maintenance teams.
- Participate in project planning, including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Maintain detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve control system designs.
Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing control systems for electrical machines.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, and motor drives.
- Experience with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, E3, EPLAN).
- Strong knowledge of control theory, electrical circuits, and automation.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with robotics and motion control systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CAN).
- Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, and motor drives.
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Certification in Control Systems Engineering (CSE) or related credentials.
