Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing financial operations, procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulatory requirements and company policies/guidelines. This position will cover several locations, Singapore, Shanghai and United States.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Responsible for consolidating financial statements from all subsidiaries to create a comprehensive financial report for the company.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and prepare regular financial statements and reports for management review.
- Develop and manage financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements.
Procurement:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies that optimize purchasing processes and minimize costs.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
- Oversee procurement activities for laboratory supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to financial practices, procurement processes, and data protection.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact for external audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience handling full-set account
- Proven experience in financial management, procurement, and compliance; Experience in Biotechnology industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Singapore and international financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and implementing successful financial and procurement strategies.
