Accountant (6 months contract)

• Location: Temasek Avenue
• Salary up to $4500

Job Duties:

Treasury Responsibilities

1. Manage third-party payment processes, including processing accounts payable invoices and arranging payments to vendors, authorities, banks, and other entities.
2. Oversee intercompany transactions, including fund transfers, collections, and payment arrangements.
3. Administer bank and loan accounts, handling tasks such as account opening and closure, interest calculations, foreign exchange transactions, cash withdrawals, bank reconciliations, and document management.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

1. Assist in the financial and management reporting process, preparing AP, AR, GL, journal entries, and monthly/quarterly management accounts for company entities and consolidated group accounts.
2. Coordinate with external and internal auditors, tax agents, bankers, and corporate service providers to address financial accounting, operational, and compliance matters, ensuring timely provision of necessary information
3. Support audit and tax-related activities, including preparing audit schedules, responding to audit and tax inquiries, and facilitating information requirements.

Group Reporting and Additional Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with parent companies on reporting, financial information dissemination, and system migration or transformation initiatives.
2. Undertake other duties and ad hoc projects assigned by the finance lead or senior management, encompassing corporate finance and other related tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Yonyou用友 is advantageous), MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (both spoken and written).
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Capacity to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
