Purpose & Scope
As the Senior Workplace Safety and Health Officer, you are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. Your main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to WSHE legislation and regulations (WSH act and Environment)
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Identifying and recommending best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
- Assess the company’s HSSE Management System to identify any deviation, weakness or significant change in organization, risk control measures and provide recommendation for improvement
- Conduct or coordinate In-House Training Program, Safety Promotions or other safety-related activities for Staff and EPC Contractors
- Perform safety audits and inspection of the Company’s worksites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
- Assist in maintaining certifications such as ISO45001, BizSafe Partner/ BizSafe Star certificates.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by HOD
Qualifications & Experience
- Must be a Singapore Registered Safety Officer / Workplace Safety & Health Officer
- Must have professional knowledge in WSHE legislation and regulations (WSH act and Environment)
- Minimum Diploma in Building / Civil / Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
