Job responsibilities
- Release Management: Plan and schedule release cycles, coordinating with development, testing, and deployment teams.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks affecting release scope, quality, and schedules.
- Version Control: Oversee software version control.
- Release Notes: Create and maintain release planning notes.
- Quality Assurance: Coordinate testing efforts and verify and ensure quality gates are met.
- Monitoring and Incident Management: Monitor the system for any issues or incidents after a production release. If problems arise, work together with technical team and business analyst team to document down the root cause analysis, and coordinate with the support team to address the issues promptly.
- Bug Fixes and Hotfixes: Oversee the resolution of critical bugs or issues that impact users, including prioritizing and deploying hotfixes when necessary.
- Communication: Keep stakeholders informed about release plans and updates including coordination with other IT representatives from affected sub-systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience in release management.
- Good understanding of version control systems, release management tools and SDLC.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Certification in ITIL or similar frameworks is a plus.
