Insworld Institute (the “School”) is a unique international school in Singapore that offers an education to local and international students in the style, rigors and substance of a British curriculum, with the needs of the learner placed at the foremost to flourish in an international learning environment to succeed in a globalised society.
Our courses are conducted with small class sizes numbering between 4 and 12 students, allowing us to focus on the needs of the individual learner.
PRINCIPAL
The role of Principal with the School is a multi-faceted endeavour. Whereas the general responsibility of the Principal is to ensure that the academic success of the School is achieved by providing a safe and stimulating learning environment for our students, it involves a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
Leadership and Management: The Principal will be responsible for leading and managing the School, ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively. This includes overseeing the implementation of the Pearson Edexcel curriculum, managing staff, developing and implementing school policies, and promoting the School's values and ethos.
Curriculum and Assessment:The Principal will work with the teaching staff to ensure that the Pearson Edexcel curriculum is delivered effectively, and that it is reviewed and updated as necessary. This includes identifying areas for improvement, developing new teaching strategies, and ensuring that students are provided with a high-quality education and learning experience. They will work with the School's academic board to monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, and to ensure that assessment is accurate, valid and reliable.
Student Welfare: The Principal will be responsible for ensuring that students are safe, happy, and well-supported throughout their time with the School. This includes developing and implementing policies around behaviour, safeguarding and pastoral care, as well as supporting students with their academic and personal development.
Staff Development: The Principal will be responsible for the professional development of teaching staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver the Pearson Edexcel curriculum effectively. The Principal is responsible for ensuring that the teaching staff is motivated and equipped to deliver high-quality education. This includes overseeing teacher recruitment, training, mentoring, coaching, evaluation and giving feedback.
Community Engagement:The Principal will be responsible for developing strong relationships with parents, guardians, alumni, and other stakeholders, promoting the School’s community, including parents, alumni, and other stakeholders. They will work to promote the School's reputation and build relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
Resource Management:The Principal will be responsible for managing the school's resources ensuring they are used effectively and efficiently, and that the School operates within its budget and meets the needs of students and staff.
Compliance and Regulation:The Principal will be responsible for ensuring that the School complies with all relevant laws, regulations and standards, including those set by the Singapore Government. Such relevant laws, regulations and standards include the requirements found in the Committee for Private Education’s Enhanced Registration Framework and EduTrust Certification Scheme, and other such laws, regulations and standards set by relevant bodies.
Strategic Planning: The Principal should work closely with the Management Team to develop and implement a strategic plan for the School, ensuring that it is aligned with the School's mission, vision, and values.
Teaching: The Principal should also take an active part in teaching. However, teaching should only be 30% of his workload, 70% of the effort should be directed to School management responsibilities.

Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
- Experience in teaching and administering the School’s courses, including, IGCSE and A level courses
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Principal and/or Vice-Principal of an international school, or similarly applicable experience, with an outstanding track record of strategic, dynamic, inclusive, solving complex problems and emotionally intelligent leadership at an institution of learning of good standing
- Possessing a compassionate, empathetic and matured proficiency at attending to the respective, unique needs of the individual student
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
