Job Description:
- Lead the technical team in supporting the construction team on all design-related matters.
- Review and analyze all technical documentation and drawings for the project.
- Collaborate closely with appointed consultants and the construction team to enhance site efficiency and constructability through effective design and project deliverables.
- Lead the process for obtaining design approvals from relevant authorities and agencies, including URA, BCA, LTA, PUB, etc.
- Manage the design approval process to promptly resolve any technical issues.
- Ensure that all designs strictly comply with contractual requirements.
- Ensure the distribution of all approved and up-to-date drawings and relevant documents to the appropriate parties.
- Lead the technical team in working closely with the in-house BIM team to clarify and resolve all technical requirements related to the project.
- Identify and report any potential risks or issues that could impact project performance to management and the project team.
- Prepare and present design progress reports and presentations to management, the project team, and clients as required.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines (Architectural, MEP, BIM, etc.) to ensure high-quality design outcomes.
- Support the tender team by preparing technical tender documents according to specifications for civil and structural engineering project bids.
- Attend progress, technical, coordination, and site meetings
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, recognized by the Professional Engineering Board.
- A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in design or design management.
