The Senior Dietitian shall support the Allied Health Services Team in providing our clients with quality nutrition and dietetic services and promoting cancer-preventive lifestyles in the community.
Purpose of Job:
- Lead the Nutrition and Dietetics (N&D) team to provide exemplary services.
- Ensure the effective operation of the department.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Nutrition and Dietetics (N&D) services and programs.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and client care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Consultation
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to the N&D team.
- Oversee the assessment and monitoring of the nutritional status of clients.
- Ensure individualised dietary treatment and nutrition care plans are developed and implemented.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
Nutrition Advocacy
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of educational programs, such as workshops, health talks, and cooking demonstrations.
- Foster and maintain partnerships with community and healthcare organisations to expand outreach efforts.
Publications
- Oversee the curation and development of educational materials about healthy eating habits and nutritional facts.
Food Service
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff in executing recipes that meet dietary guidelines.
- Oversee the planning, review, and revision of the Social Service Centre (SSC) kitchen menu, including special occasion menus.
- Lead kitchen food safety and hygiene audits to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.
Referral & External Stakeholder Liaison
- Refer clients to relevant information or resources specific to their needs, including referral to healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Work closely with the clinical team to ensure best practice and high-quality care.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related discipline BSc in Food & Nutrition.
- Preferably a full member of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting with oncology experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to commute between our Social Service Centres
