Associate Finance Manager

As an Accountant /Associate Finance Manager, you will be part of the Reporting Team, responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing. You will also manage financial transactions and cash management activities across Affle group and its subsidiaries. Your responsibilities will include handling of full set company/subsidiary accounts, maintaining accurate cashbook records on a daily and weekly basis, updating bank balances, processing payments, and ensuring that all transaction schedules are updated in a timely and accurate manner.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Reporting Support:

o Handle full set of company/subsidiary account

o Responsible for the overall accounting and tasks that include (not limiting to) AR&AP processes, GL account, reconciliation of subsidiary account

o Updating audit schedules

o Provide monthly financial data and analysis for financial reporting according to FRS

o Participate in and liaise with auditors for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes


2. Cash Management:

o Monitor and manage the multicurrency cashbook of the group and its subsidiaries

o Maintain daily & weekly cashbook entries and reconcile bank balances

o Maintain monthly net cash balances report (AR&AP balance)

3. Payment Processing:

o Initiate and process payments (cheque and online payments) to suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders (not limited to conversion, OPEX, Interco, acquisitions and payroll related transactions)

o Update and record all bank transactions and bills accurately into the accounting system


4. Transaction Schedules:

o Update and maintain transaction schedules for accounts payable and other relevant group and subsidiary accounts

o Update Monthly exchange rate

o Maintain cost allocation schedule for intercompany OPEX cross charges

o Provide regular updates on transaction statuses and discrepancies as and when required


5. Compliance and Controls:

o Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

o Support internal and external audits related to cash and transactions


Qualifications:

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance or Chartered Account or equivalent professional qualification

• At least 5 years of related experience in related field is required

• Able to meet tight deadlines

• Able to follow instructions diligently to ensure that deliverables are understood and achieved while maintaining a critical mindset to find ways in future workflows improvement

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google docs and Cloud applications

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (eg. Oracle, Quickbooks, SAP)

• Proactive, committed, independent, meticulous & responsible

• Possess strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, resourceful and eye for detail

• Possess strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills


Able to start work immediately or within a short notice period is preferred
