Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive operations support to the trading team.
- Draft, process, and counter purchase and sales contracts.
- Enter and update trading and operational data.
- Collaborate closely with the Shipping team to ensure a smooth vessel chartering workflow.
- Issue voyage instructions to shipowners and oversee the entire voyage from start to finish.
- Issue letters of protest or notices to counterparties as necessary to protect the company's interests.
- Provide appropriate instructions to surveyors/expeditors for cargo operations.
- Liaise with surveyors and terminals to arrange loading and discharging cargo.
- Interface with counterparties and the internal credit team to process receivables and payables, including LC, PCG, PU, etc.
- Prepare and compile a full set of shipping documents, including BL, COQ, etc.
- Support the demurrage team with calculations and claims.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the team.
Requirements:
- Minimum degree holder in trading, shipping, economics, business, or a relevant field.
- Good understanding of oil trading contracts, shipping terms, and legal terms.
- At least 5 years of experience in fuel oil cargo operations.
- Knowledge and experience in fuel oil blending is essential.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
- Proficiency in mandarin would be required to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates.
