The E&I Engineer provides technical expertise (Electrical & Instrumental) for all equipment troubleshooting and maintenance support to maintenance technicians. They also need to organize, plan, direct, and support production, project (Equipment Change Control), Validation and PM (Preventive Maintenance plan) CM (Corrective Maintenance plan) activities. This role also actively supports, participates and embraces an inclusive team culture including significant interaction with Operations, Quality, Automation, Engineering, and other groups as required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provides support to maintenance manager (E&I) and maintenance technician (E&I) to complete planned work activities timely, efficiently and satisfactorily.
- Participate and lead in Quality/Safety related investigation. Ensure the deviations are fully investigated with any actions effectively implemented within agreed time frame.
- Develops standard operating procedures (SOP's), Job aids and preventative maintenance (PM's) plans. Ensure the developed instructions are compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines and standards.
- Provides technical oversight and support maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and diagnostic of equipment failure and determining the root cause and perform immediate corrective actions.
- Coordinates and support equipment shutdown, start-up, swing over, and equipment servicing and inspection with stakeholders. Support installation, modification, testing, servicing, commissioning, qualification activities (IQ, OQ), as well as site change control procedures or minor projects.
- Supervise and oversee Third Party Contractors, vendors and service providers.
- Participates in the improvement initiatives to enhance equipment or system efficiency, reduce energy usage and other cost saving/avoidance projects.
- Participate in SHE, Business Compliance, cGMP and all other compliance-related matters, where applicable
After one year, you will be able to handle small project and lead investigation independently.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of Electrical Engineering and Instrument & Control Engineering (Preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or its equivalent can be also considered if the candidate demonstrates strong willing to work and learn in E&I areas.
- PUB electrician's license will be an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years relevant technical experience in the manufacturing industry, including but not limited to Process/ facilities design, equipment operation, reliability and maintenance planning, project management, problem-solving, developing and implementing technical solutions, planning and scheduling implementations, and working with multi-functional teams.
- Good working experience in Electrical & Instrumental will be an advantage.
