My Client is a leading stable firm in Singapore.
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer specializing in Analytics to join our client. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the integrity, quality, and accessibility of our data assets, with a focus on data cleansing, testing, and Power BI development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering practices, experience in data validation and cleaning, and proficiency in tools like PowerBI, Alteryx, and Python. While HR experience is advantageous, effective communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Cleansing and Validation:Perform thorough data cleansing to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Validate data integrity through rigorous testing and analysis.
Clean out historic data sets to maintain current and reliable data sources.
- Testing and Validation:Develop and implement robust testing procedures for data pipelines and analytics processes.
Validate and verify data outputs to ensure adherence to business requirements and data quality standards.
- Power BI Development:Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into actionable insights.
Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and usability.
- Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure data solutions align with organizational goals and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Alteryx and Power BI experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a data engineering role, with a focus on analytics and data manipulation.
- Proficiency in data cleaning, validation, and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI; familiarity with Alteryx is amust
- Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets and perform data analysis.
- Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with HR systems like Workday is desirable but not mandatory.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering
