A professional legal advisor to support in all fields of business and commercial law for South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia) & Oceania (Australia and New Zealand).
Key tasks :
- Provide legal expertise and support in all fields of business and commercial law, including commercial contracts, product liability, intellectual property (except for patent and design) and M&A through sound commercial, legal and ethical risk assessments.
- Proactively partner with and advise management on legal matters to maximize business opportunities and mitigate risk.
- Guide management and other stakeholders in company governance and relevant compliance areas (primarily ABAC, Export Control and Sanctions, Data Privacy and Fair Competition).
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Implementing and actively participating in the continuous improvement of related policies and processes, template agreements, and supporting tools.
- Educating business colleagues in commercial contract, corporate governance, compliance areas and ensuring knowledge sharing within the Group Legal globally.
- Managing and coordinating disputes and litigations in liaison with external counsels.
- Keep updated on legislative trends and changes which may affect the business.
- Supporting in local crisis management from a legal perspective.
