KKR has approximately 300 executives working across business functions and asset classes with offices located in Beijing, Gurugram, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. POSITION SUMMARY


KKR is seeking an Associate to work alongside members of the APAC Institutional Sales and Family Capital team. In this hybrid role, they will be supporting the senior Relationship Managers on their relationship management efforts and scaling up of the business.


Examples of tasks this individual will work on include:


  • Partner closely with the relationship manager and other team members on coming up with client-oriented solutions and investment ideas
  • Preparing briefing memos, making recommendations on products appropriate to the investor, suggesting new potential clients based on this research
  • Periodically create and update bespoke marketing materials, quarterly presentations, and reporting materials
  • Provide ongoing LP support and remain heavily involved when investors are conducting due diligence on KKR funds
  • Work closely with investment professionals and deal teams to understand the current portfolio, deal pipeline, and overall market dynamics
  • Work closely with others on the relationship management and product teams on client requests (related to both capital raising, diligence and one-off servicing requests), client presentations, sales territory management, and CRM database management
  • Assist with other Team projects and initiatives on an ad hoc basis


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 5 - 6 years of relevant institutional sales experience at an investment bank, asset management firm, or large financial institution
  • Bachelor’s degree, CFA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Basic understanding of alternative investment products and the investors in the space
  • Relevant experience with problem solving on tasks related to clients’ objectives and needs would be preferred
  • A strong sense of teamwork
  • An entrepreneurial and creative self-starter who takes initiative, works in direct and positive partnership with clients and colleagues, and is results-oriented with clear scorecard/measures of individual, team, and franchise success
  • The ability to communicate with clients and advisors at the highest standards
  • Organizational maturity to operate successfully in a dynamic global investment business and multicultural environment
  • Commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, consistent with the expectations of investors, the regulatory requirements of the region, and the reputation of the Firm he/she will represent

  • Team player capable of collaborating with cross-divisional team and senior management and enjoys working in a collaborative and collegial environment
  • Maturity, presence, sound judgment, and ability to form and express opinions effectively to cross-divisional teams, including senior management
