Estate Development Officer

What the Role is:

The Estate Development Officer plays a general role in providing Maintenance & Technical support to ensure the smooth and effective operations of the Boarding School.


Job Responsibilities:

-Manage the day-to-day Boarding School matters, such as inspect and identify defects, manage and supervise maintenance including external works done by contractors.
-Oversee servicing, cleaning, projects upgrading and other maintenance works.
-Prepare necessary building and procurement documentation and contracts, if applicable.
-Attend and follow-up on enquiries from boarders, stakeholders and residential/school staff.
-Provide support for media resource services, functions and equipment.
-Provide solutions or develop plans to solve technical/maintenance issues, including sourcing for contractors.
-Maintain close and regular communications with the vendors/contractors and ensure that all works are carried out smoothly.
-Handle all security matters including the security and Fire Alarm systems.
-Liaise with security personnel/organization with regards to all security matters.
-Assist in the booking for the various venues/facilities
-Provide simple repair jobs to minor electrical, carpentry and other works, etc
-Report & oversee all Repair/Maintenance work required daily
-Assist in the booking for the various venues/facilities
-Assist in all Boarding school events
-Manage the custodians/laundry maids
-Assist in the administration/preparation of onsite projects.
-Assist in the administrative support and preparing for all boarders’ arrival and departure checks.
-Manage feedback/complains and report to the Boarding School Manager.
-Assist in handling queries from parents/guests/boarders etc
-Any other duties assigned by the Boarding School Manager.


What we are looking for:

-Ability to work well independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment

-Good time management and ability to multi-task

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

-Comfortable with handling different profiles of stakeholders

-Good written and communication skills

-Knowledge of vendor management for specialized services

Job Requirements:

-NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Building or equivalent
-Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in property or facilities management, facilities engineering, or related field.
