Job Responsibilities:
- Lead production teams to meet profit and performance targets.
- Drive continuous improvement in operations, focusing on people, processes, and systems.
- Manage all operational results, including safety, quality, velocity, and cost.
- Report on KPIs and ensure effective KPI data management and visual boards.
- Maintain robust planning and control techniques for manufacturing activities.
- Collaborate with the materials department to address delivery and planning issues.
- Optimize manufacturing operations and support processes with Manufacturing Engineering.
- Implement company strategies and lean methodologies.
- Ensure facility maintenance supports effective operations.
- Assess staff levels and training needs in line with business strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Enhance communication and trust with staff and negotiate with works committees as needed.
- Review and prepare capital expenditure proposals aligned with strategic goals.
- Create conditions to maximize performance and reduce employee turnover.
- Conduct annual appraisals and set performance objectives for staff.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in a technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, preferably in automotive.
