Our Client, a well-known telco operator is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated IT Operations Specialist to join the team.
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Monitor and Support: Continuously monitor the performance and availability of all IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications. Provide 1st level support and troubleshooting for any issues that arise.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve IT incidents promptly, following established procedures and escalation protocols. Document all incidents and resolutions in the incident management system.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patch management, and system backups, to ensure the integrity and security of IT systems.
- IP Network SDWAN standard SR/CR: Perform pre-defined standard change for various SDWAN platform (Cisco Viptela, Velocloud, Rasnet, Silverpeak Fortinet etc)
- Operational Tasks: Execute daily operational tasks, such as system health checks, log reviews, and performance monitoring. Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed within defined SLAs.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with other IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users. Provide regular updates on the status of ongoing incidents and operational activities.
- Compliance and Security: Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring IT operations are conducted securely and in compliance with relevant standards.
- Tertiary education (Bachelor’s degree / Polytechnic Diploma) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year working experience in IT Infrastructure Operation and/or Support (LAN/WAN/Systems/Cloud).
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols, VMware and IT infrastructure. Experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems.
- Proficiency in network SDWAN platforms. Experience with performing change request and troubleshooting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a passion for information security.
- Fluent communicator in both written and spoken English; Good interpersonal skills.
- This position requires working on a rotating 24x7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
