- Promptly handle incoming purchase orders from ship
- Forward orders to appropriate suppliers for price quotes
- Negotiate prices and follow up on orders with suppliers
- Review incoming quotes and finalize supplier selection after approval from Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
- Coordinate closely with warehouse and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
- Provide shipping instructions to suppliers
- Keep vessels and Vessel Managers informed about delivery status
- Communicate with the vessel's port agents
- Manage customs clearance
- Arrange necessary services and repairs based on arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
- Maintain and update supplier database across various platforms.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 3 years experience in purchasing | procurement in Shipping or marine industry
- Immediate starter is preferred
