Job Summary
Treasury works closely with senior management, the businesses, Country CEOs / CFOs, and Finance to manage and promote the bank’s liquidity, capital, and balance sheet position.
Within Treasury (which comprises Capital, Liquidity & Markets), the Treasury Liquidity function is responsible to driving the strategic liquidity agenda, including Funds Transfer Pricing (‘FTP’) and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Booking (‘IRRBB’).
The Treasury Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team establishes, manages, and oversees the methodologies and standards under which sources and uses of bank funding are transfer priced based on interest rates, liquidity and the asset & liability management frameworks.
The purpose of the FTP team is to be an effective and transparent driver of balance sheet outcomes across entities. We strive to do this through simple and consistent pricing, enhanced digitisation & transparency, and continuous methodology refinement.
Strategy
• Maximize the business value of the FTP product by ensuring we “deliver the right thing at the right time”.
• Accountable for the execution of build and maintain activities and principles relevant with their teams to align with product delivery mindset.
• Ensure alignment with strategic outcomes and scorecard priorities for FTP.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to craft the vision and concept development of the FTP product.
• Ensures the Product Strategy and Roadmap is transparent, visible, understood by the FTP Hive and is regularly reviewed (at least monthly) with the delivery Squad.
• Develop and maintain the roadmap and Squad backlog with FTP Chief Product Owners, Hive Tech Lead, Scrum master, and key stakeholders in FRM, Country Treasury and Finance.
• Ensure Squad backlog is developed using relevant data points to determine the appropriate roadmap milestones. Regularly review and refine it based on relevant data.
• Ensure data-driven prioritization in alignment with strategic outcomes and scorecard.
• Accountable to work with technical counterparts to mitigate technical debt and balance risk, and regulatory items with new features, functionality, or changes to keep the cost of change low.
• Responsible to work in partnership with technology to ensure a balance of functional and non-functional requirements are represented in the backlog and that there is an approach to mitigate or avoid technical debt.
• Responsible for collaborating on technology roadmap and solution with the Hive Tech Lead, to drive optimum outcomes.
• Accountable to regularly review the Squad performance metrics (both in sprint delivery and the performance after go-live) on a regular basis and to use these insights to execute continuous improvement with the Squad.
• Keep abreast of industry best in class product ownership, product development and product management.
Key Responsibilities
Business
• Engage with stakeholders and end users and represent their voice on the product backlog.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the Product Backlog is created and maintained according to business value/ROI.
• Facilitate prioritization discussions with all relevant stakeholders including local, regional, country representatives.
• Optimize value delivery through Continuous Improvement through relevant data and frequent feedback from stakeholders, SMEs, and customers.
• Engage in continuous backlog management, writing user stories with clear narratives and acceptance criteria.
• Regularly prioritize and refine backlog items using data points through collaboration with the technical delivery SMEs.
• Ensure the Product Backlog, Quarterly Backlog and Sprint Backlogs are transparent, visible, and understood.
• Potentially support multiple teams if their backlog items come from the same Product Backlog.
Processes
• Accountable to ensure the backlog is maintained regularly and backlog user stories are clearly articulated through engagement in continuous backlog management, sprint planning, conducting user story walk-throughs with the delivery Squad and writing user stories with clear narratives and acceptance criteria.
• Accountable to sign off on the delivery of the backlog items (epics, features, user stories) and ensure the acceptance criteria has been met through active participation in Sprint Reviews
• Accountable to ensure backlog is regularly refined, prioritised, and worked on with the Squad members.
• Must be present and help drive key team meetings including but not limited to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews. Daily standups and retrospectives are optional.
• Use lifecycle tools like ADO and Confluence, to plan, track, and manage backlog items.
• Adopt and embed the Change Delivery Standards throughout the lifecycle of the product/service.
• Continuously review and consider ways to reduce / eliminate manual processes.
• Participate in the quarterly planning for the Hive and provide steer along with Hive Tech Lead.
• Helps removes blockers or impediments that hinder product delivery or learning culture.
• Regularly reviews squad metrics in regard to Predictability, Quality, Squad Sentiment and supports the team to better value delivery.

• Collaborate and ensure availability for all meetings as an active, daily as a core member of the squad.
• Champion and act as a role model of the Group's values and culture.
• May also take on the role of a Chapter Lead with accountability to uplift the PO capability of the Chapter members.

• Balance technical debt, risk, and regulatory items with new features, functionality, or changes to keep the cost of change low.

• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Over 5+ years’ experience in Treasury, Finance Product Control or Balance sheet management team
• Strong academic record at bachelor or master's degree level in business, economics, finance, financial engineering or related field from a well-recognised institution.
• Knowledge of Interest rate risk, liquidity, client pricing, financial Products and Markets
• Proficiency in data analysis and business reporting
