Our client, a leading name in the maritime industry, is seeking a skilled Technical Superintendent to join their team. If you have a strong background in container ship management and are passionate about ensuring operational excellence, we want to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical experience at sea as Chief Engineer followed by a few years in a Technical Superintendent role ashore.
- Proven experience as a Technical Superintendent, specifically with container ships Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and oversee vessel maintenance and repairs
- Fluent written and spoken English allowing you to freely communicate among a multi-national Team and of course the vessel’s crew.
What is your main role:
- Ensure your assigned vessels are technically operational, within budget, and comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues from Crewing, IT, and Purchase Departments to ensure smooth vessel operations.
- Monitor vessel budgets, including requisitions and approvals, and work closely with Fleet Controlling to meet OPEX and Dry-Docking budgets.
- Liaise with classification societies, flag state administrations, and regulatory bodies to ensure vessel compliance.
- Oversee claims and insurance cases, providing technical expertise and documentation as needed.
- Work closely with the QHSE/Marine Department on safety and security matters on board your ships.
