As the DON, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the nursing home. Your responsibilities include:

- Lead and guide a dedicated team of nurses, ensuring quality care delivery.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration and growth.
- Manage department budgets efficiently, optimizing resources while maintaining high standards of care.
- Report directly to higher management, providing updates on patient care, staffing, and facility operations.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and family members to address health concerns.
- Maintain patient data and medical records with utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new nursing staff members.
- Provide ongoing education classes to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Implement new procedures and ensure compliance with nursing policies
Job Requirements:
- Min. Degree in nursing with Advanced Diploma/ Masters in gerontology
- Knowledge and compliance with HCSA
- Able to take the role of license holder for the nursing home
- Comply with requirements for Clinical Governance Officer
- Proven management record for a medium to large nursing home or community care facility
