Job Role Description:
Logistics Engineer Senior Executive is responsible for the below in Contract Logistics Operation:
- To lead and drive continuous quality and process improvement in materials flow, manning, space, inventory management and fleet management.
- To manage data-related activities including setting up databases, data mining and modelling (cost-benefit analysis, problem analysis, Robotic Process Automation, etc) performing data analysis and validating data.
Job Description
- Lead and drive for continuous improvement in materials flow, manning, space and inventory management, fleet management in Contract Logistics Operation.
- Participate and drive cost reduction solutions.
- Write SOP & WI required for warehouse management and logistic operations.
- Perform risk assessment together with HSE department and ensure safety first for operation.
- Constantly strive to achieve World Class Logistics Operations in Safety, Quality, Cost and Cycle time.
- Manage data through a combination of data mining, modelling and analysis (cost-benefit analysis, problem analysis, Robotic Process Automation, etc.).
- Focus on 5S, visual management and inventory accuracy improvement.
- Must be highly energetic and have the drive to get things done ahead of plan.
- Management of inbound/outbound operations to optimize space and inventory management.
- Report key performance indices on a regular basis for Contract Logistics.
What the job role requires
Qualification/Technical:
- Preferable Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Management or Engineering. Or Diploma holder with 3 to 5 years of relevant experiences.
- Knowledge in warehouse/logistics/manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (In English).
Technological:
- Good working knowledge of 5S & visual management.
- Capable of writing SOP & WI required for warehouse management and operations.
- Knowledge of tools and methodologies like Root Cause Analysis and systematic troubleshooting methodology, etc. will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on MHE and warehouse racking will be an added advantage.
- Preferable to have Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSA 18001 will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge with Lean methodology, six sigma and Kanban system will be an added advantage.
General:
