Job Role Description:


Logistics Engineer Senior Executive is responsible for the below in Contract Logistics Operation:

  • To lead and drive continuous quality and process improvement in materials flow, manning, space, inventory management and fleet management.
  • To manage data-related activities including setting up databases, data mining and modelling (cost-benefit analysis, problem analysis, Robotic Process Automation, etc) performing data analysis and validating data.


Job Description

  • Lead and drive for continuous improvement in materials flow, manning, space and inventory management, fleet management in Contract Logistics Operation.
  • Participate and drive cost reduction solutions.
  • Write SOP & WI required for warehouse management and logistic operations.
  • Perform risk assessment together with HSE department and ensure safety first for operation.
  • Constantly strive to achieve World Class Logistics Operations in Safety, Quality, Cost and Cycle time.
  • Manage data through a combination of data mining, modelling and analysis (cost-benefit analysis, problem analysis, Robotic Process Automation, etc.).
  • Focus on 5S, visual management and inventory accuracy improvement.
  • Must be highly energetic and have the drive to get things done ahead of plan.
  • Management of inbound/outbound operations to optimize space and inventory management.
  • Report key performance indices on a regular basis for Contract Logistics.


What the job role requires


Qualification/Technical:

  • Preferable Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Management or Engineering. Or Diploma holder with 3 to 5 years of relevant experiences.
  • Knowledge in warehouse/logistics/manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (In English).

Technological:

  • Good working knowledge of 5S & visual management.
  • Capable of writing SOP & WI required for warehouse management and operations.
  • Knowledge of tools and methodologies like Root Cause Analysis and systematic troubleshooting methodology, etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge on MHE and warehouse racking will be an added advantage.
  • Preferable to have Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSA 18001 will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge with Lean methodology, six sigma and Kanban system will be an added advantage.

General:

  • Able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive for sustainable implementation.
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism.
  • Skills and abilities to perform job include analytical communication, presentation skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, computer literacy, interpersonal skills, exercises mature judgment; ability to work in a team, as well as independently; ability to influence other people.

People/Relations:

  • Able to communicate with people from all levels.
  • High fluency in both spoken and written English.
  • High energy and drive, with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Willing to learn with challenging spirit to improve current condition.

Other Information

  • Dynamic & committed with proactive working attitude.
  • Strong passion for process improvement, organizational, analytical and interpersonal & people management skills.
  • Intermediate to advance experience in operating ERP system (WMS/SAP/etc.) for inventory management and analysis.
  • Knowledge on warehouse racks and MHE.
  • Forklift licence.
