Objective: To support the Medeze's current operations in Singapore while laying the groundwork for financial processes suitable for future regional expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Operational Management: Oversee daily accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with both local and future anticipated international accounting standards.
2.Financial Reporting: Produce and analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, ensuring they are suitable for investor presentations and statutory obligations.
3.Consolidation Preparation: Set groundwork for the consolidation of financial statements in anticipation of regional expansion.
4.Multi-Regional Compliance: Stay abreast of financial regulations in potential expansion regions, ensuring the startup is poised for seamless financial integration when entering new markets.
5.Tax Strategy: Manage timely and compliant tax filings for Singapore and develop tax strategies suitable for regional offices. Experiences in Patent related accounting and related tax is an advantage.
6.Software Proficiency: Recommend, implement, and manage accounting software that caters to multi-regional operations, ensuring scalability.
7.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage proactively with external auditors, investors, and regional financial institutions as the company expands.
8.Continuous Learning: Regularly update knowledge regarding industry-specific regulations, especially concerning healthcare startups in Asia.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree or advanced courses in international finance would be advantageous.
- Certification: A recognized professional accounting qualification in Singapore (e.g., ACCA, CPA Singapore).
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and able to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in startups or fast-paced business environments. Previous experience in companies with regional offices is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in major accounting software, with a preference for those experienced in platforms suitable for multi-region operations.
